The bizhub 421 is designed to meet the needs of mid-size offices or large workgroups that require a reliable printing and copying device which can deliver high copy volumes without a loss of quality plus a device that can serve as a centralized communication and information sharing center.
The bizhub 421 can be used with Konica Minolta Software Solutions, which let user monitors the machines status, account usage, etc., to let users to manage their business effectively.
At the intersection of the bizhub's distinctive white lines lies its unique color control panel. For easier document viewing, thumbnail previews of copied or scanned images can be seen on the full colour interface.
The bizhub 421 offers a wide range of print* and copy functions. It is capable of 600 x 600 dpi copy resolution and 2,400 x 600 dpi print resolution with 256 graduations, and make use of Konica Minolta's exclusive Simitri toner for extremely sharp details and fine gradations. Its precision design provides splendid and consistent output during continuous printing. Printing is optional* for standard USB thumbdrive function.

Boasting a copy / print speed of 42 ppm and 50 opm scanning at 600dpi, the bizhub 421 makes fast work of even large-volume jobs, making it an ideal in-house delivery system for a wide range of reports, presentations, and sales support literature.
With the optional Super G3 fax kit, the bizhub 421 is capable of transmitting faxes from A5 to A3 size and in up to 600 x 600dpi, for maximum image quality when received. TSI data included with received faxes can be used to set incoming transmissions to be automatically saved to designated Boxes* for fast and efficient sorting. Once saved to a Box, fax messages can be forwarded to other destinations or printed out. With bizhub 421's scan and send features, users can distribute documents to FTP, SME, e-mail or box* directly from scanning. Scan to USB is standard.

Information is valuable and keeping it confidential is critical. The bizhub 421 is equipped with a wide range of security functions which keeps the information securely and can only be accessed by authorized people. What's more, an encryption protocol and the network server authentication function keep your data confidential and safe while exchanging over the network.
For this bizhub model 421, it allows for multi purposed IC cards* to be used to access data in high-security areas as well as synched operation with room entry and exit management.
Another alternative way is to use improved finger vein authentication* which is more accurate. Its ergonomic and efficient shape blends in with the design of the MFP.
Working in conjunction with finger-vein and IC card authentication, our easy-to-use ID & Print feature provides customers with a secure printing environment too. Just by using your finger, printing can automatically begin. This saves the hassle to enter a password.

Our Simitri toner is a low-temperature-fixing toner. It consumes less energy and produces up to 40% less Carbon Dioxide, Nitrogen Dioxide and Sulphur Dioxide emissions than pulverized toner. Therefore, it allows bizhub 421 to consume less energy when running.
The bizhub 421 conforms to the International Energy Star Program's stringent guidelines for reduced energy consumption and improved efficiency. Our exclusive Simitri polymerized toner consuming less energy. Also, the Low Power and Sleep Mode consume significantly less power. It helps in saving energy cost and producing less waste.
