The much-anticipated High Production Printer (HPP) have officially made its presence known in the ASEAN region after the launch in June 2020. The ultra-efficient and super-reliable high speed toner-based digital press the AccurioPress C14000 and C12000 expands Konica Minolta’s offerings to cater to the demand in the HPP market. While the launch of the flagship machine was shadowed by the challenging economic climate, we’ve seen a steady increase in interest to the newly launched press.

Turning the shadow into a shining light

While COVID-19 control measure has limited physical meet ups in Sri-Lanka, the team at our branch office in Sri-Lanka together with our local distributor, Advanced Printing Technologies (Pvt) Ltd (APT), continued to follow up with ANIM8 (PVT) Ltd and being steadfast in answering their queries. APT understood where this machine should be placed, in order to get the attention of other digital players including offset customers. This led to the first installation of the AccurioPress C14000 in the region.

 Understanding Customer Needs

In the initial phase of introducing the product, Anim8 was under the impression that this is just another Konica Minolta machine with only productivity improvement. Much to their surprise, the press offers beyond just improved productivity – coupled with  new toner, higher thickness (450gsm) media handling capability, they were blown away and absolutely convinced that this new technology will add more value to their current workflow and creating new business opportunities for them.

At a time where most companies are pessimistic and holding back new investments, ANIM8 understood the advantages of investing in the latest Konica Minolta AccurioPress C14000. Looking beyond investment cost, they understood the importance of reducing production cost and improving productivity that the press can bring, which further value add to their current workflow.

ANIM8 was interested in a competitor model but  the final decision landed on AccurioPress C14000, simply because of the confidence they had with Konica Minolta direct presence in Sri Lanka. With Konica Minolta’s exclusive partner for the AccurioPress C14000/C12000, APT, having the knowhow of the industry and commitment, it further gave ANIM8 the assurance and swift decision to purchase. The financial stability of APT was also instrumental in closing the deal.
