SYSTEM OVERVIEW
Konica Minolta’s Machine Connectivity & Visualization is an Industrial Internet of Things (IoT) smart monitoring solution aimed at enabling machine-based communication of key information with real-time analytics, utilising collected data to drive business decisions faster and more accurately.
To enable machines to communicate, plug-and-play IoT Nodes are attached to machines which send out data to the IoT Gateway wirelessly and securely. The gateway then sends the datastream to a secure cloud where pre-processing, ETL and storage takes place in Big Data servers. This data is made available to the user through a self-configured interface, where machine performance and bottlenecks are easily identified via the analytical dashboard.

SYSTEM BENEFITS
Real-time Dashboard
As data is collected automatically, a continuous flow of information is accumulated over time. This enables users to view the different machines’ performances on the shopfloor through a simple drag-and-drop interface. This analytical platform enables analysis of each machine and identifies production bottlenecks.
Deep Diving in Machines’ Performance
The ability to drill into each machine’s OEE & details allows users to pinpoint exactly where are the areas for improvement, thus driving down cost and increasing output.
Reports and Notifications
Customised thresholds can be set to trigger alarms and notifications during emergency or breakdowns to reduce downtime. Production reports can be automatically generated with just a single click.
WHO IS THIS FOR?
If you are looking to enable faster and better decision making on your production floor, then this is the digital transformation project for you. Data from IoT nodes gives you insights into the production processes, maximising efficiency. Here at Konica Minolta, we believe in taking small steps when embarking on any Industry 4.0 project. This approach allows you to see for yourself if the solution meets your expectations before expanding to full-scale implementation. Thus, we offer a scalable solution comprising Pilot-, Standard-, Professional- or Enterprise-scale kits. Please contact us for more information.
