Konica Minolta Summit 2026 Strengthens ESG Commitment Through Coral Reef Conservation in Bali

Singapore | 6 February 2026

As part of Konica Minolta Summit 2026 held in Bali under the theme “Igniting Potential, Accelerating Growth,” Day 2 translated strategic dialogue into meaningful environmental action through a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative focused on marine conservation.

On 6 February 2026, in collaboration with Bhaga Utsaha Manunggal Desa Adat (BUMDA) Kutuh, Konica Minolta Business Solutions Asia and its distributor partners successfully planted 100 coral seedlings at Pandawa Beach, South Kuta. The initiative forms part of Konica Minolta’s continued commitment to sustainability, aligned with its Eco Vision 2050 and broader Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) priorities.

Supporting a Sustainable Marine Ecosystem

The coral planting contributes to the long-term vision of establishing a 2-hectare coral reef garden within the Pandawa Beach area, a significant coastal tourism destination whose ecological health is closely connected to the livelihood of the local community.

BUMDA Kutuh, operating under the authority of Desa Adat Kutuh (Kutuh Traditional Village), plays a key role in ensuring responsible coastal stewardship. Through this collaboration, the initiative benefits from structured local governance and long-term custodianship, ensuring that conservation efforts extend beyond a single CSR activity and are integrated into the village’s sustainable development framework.

The coral planting was carried out by participating distributors and Konica Minolta members, reflecting a shared regional commitment to advancing sustainable growth while protecting the environment in which we operate.

Long-Term Care and Community Partnership

To ensure continuity and ecological impact, the newly planted corals will be periodically monitored and maintained by Pandawa Beach Management, in close cooperation with BUMDA Kutuh and the local customary authorities.
Mr Wayan Letra, Manager of Pantai Pandawa Bali, expressed strong support for the initiative and reaffirmed the collective responsibility to safeguard the marine ecosystem. He emphasised the importance of preserving the natural habitat along the 3-kilometre Kutuh Beach coastline, noting that the area should not undergo reclamation in order to protect Pandawa Beach and its surrounding marine environment for future generations.

By extending the Summit theme beyond strategy into action, this initiative demonstrates how igniting potential also means empowering communities and preserving natural ecosystems, ensuring that growth is not only accelerated, but sustainable.
