Acquisition of Data Connect Technologies Pte Ltd is poised to elevate Konica Minolta’s position as a Leading Managed Information Technology (IT) Services provider.

Konica Minolta Business Solutions Asia Pte Ltd. (Konica Minolta), a leader in advanced business technologies and solutions, today announced the acquisition of Data Connect Technologies Pte Ltd (Data Connect), a leading technology services organisation. Data Connect provides a diverse range of IT services including proactive server management, remote monitoring, cloud computing, on-site network support and consulting across Singapore.

With the acquisition of Data Connect, Konica Minolta will build upon and expand its offerings and allow the business to extend the reach of its solutions and services.  Customers will be able to count on a single source for a broad range of products and services – ranging from industry-leading MFP products, comprehensive workflow solutions to Optimized Print Services and Managed IT Services, all while delivering exceptional value and support.

What is the legal name of the new organization?

Data Connect operates as a fully owned subsidiary with no change to the legal name, thus, there is no requirement for contract novation.

Will there be any change in Senior Management and/or key personnel?

The acquisition is positioned to enhance core business propositions offered to Data Connect and Konica Minolta customers with the support of senior management. There is no change to the senior management and key personnel of both business entities.

Will there be changes in any firm’s business lines and the typical profile of your clients?

With the acquisition, the core businesses will continue to expand further to provide better and increasing services which includes Konica Minolta core businesses. This is an expansionary acquisition in services and core business portfolio offered by Konica Minolta regionally.

Will there be any staffing changes that might affect end user?

Data Connect operates as a fully owned subsidiary. All staffing management continue to be managed by Data Connect.

Will there be any changes to service quality/policies?

Data Connect operates as a fully owned subsidiary. Data Connect will continue to manage the service polices and is committed to deliver the same high level of service quality.

Where would the firm’s sensitive data be stored (i.e. where is the data centre?) Under Data Connect or Konica Minolta?

Data Connect operates as a fully owned subsidiary. The changes in ownership does not undermine or change the security processes and policies set forth under the ISO 27001:2013 certification. This will continue to be managed by Data Connect.
